Times Square NYE 2010
New York's winter of 2009 was the coldest since 1922. To guarantee a prime position I camped out fixed to the same spot since midday NYE for the festivities to come. Twelve hours in the sub-zero cold, the best shots I got that night wasn't the fireworks but rather the numerous NYPD frantically passing by. In Manhattan post 911 it isn't kosher to usually be taking so many shots of the NYPD with a telephoto lens but in the spirit of the festivities it was appropriate this night and by doing so I felt the true spirit of New Yorkers were captured (as the NYPD is an important part of the fabric of the island).
